Golf for Beginners & Intermediates offered by Jefferson Rec
Think Spring as The Jefferson Township Recreation Department is once again offering beginner and intermediate golf lessons at Bowling Green Golf Club to students 6 to 14 years of age and students 15 through adults beginning in April. The program will be taught by Head Golf Professional Sean Roeser and Assistant Golf Professional Derek Bishop at the facility located at 53 Schoolhouse Road, Milton/Oak Ridge.
There will be six Junior Level 1 Beginners Basics lessons for 6 to 14 year old students on Sundays beginning on April 22 and running through June 10 for a 30 to 45 minute session (no classes on May 13 or May 27). The 6 to 9 year old group will meet at the golf course at 3 pm, and the 10 to 14 year old group will meet at 4 pm. The cost is $70 per student.
There will also be six Adult Level 1 Beginners Basic lessons for students 15 year olds through adults on Saturdays for a 45 to 60 minute session beginning on April 21 and running through June 2 at 4 pm (no class on May 26). The cost is $100 per person.
Intermediate level instruction is also available for 7 to 14 year olds in Level II Intro to Playing lessons on Tuesdays at 5 pm starting April 24 and running through May 29 at a cost of $70 for six 30 to 45 minute sessions.
Students 15 years old through adults can take Intermediate Level II Intro to Playing lessons on Saturdays at 5 pm beginning on April 21 running through June 2 (no class on May 26) at a cost of $100 for six 45 to 60 minute sessions.
If you need golf clubs, you must indicate that during your online registration when asked, and Bowling Green will provide them for you.
Registration for this program is only online through Community Pass so log on to https://register.communitypass.net/reg/index.cfm, and create an account. If you already have an existing account, sign in or follow the prompts to set up your own personal account through the Jefferson Township community. In either case, choose “Winter-Spring Season 2018” to register for this program. As with any online shopping site, everything in your cart is payable immediately. Full payment of all items in your shopping cart can be made online at checkout with a MC, VISA, or Discover credit card subject to a 2.65% bank convenience fee. However, you can choose to “Send Payment” at checkout and then drop off a check, cash, or money order to the JT Recreation Dept. office at Camp Jefferson, 81 Weldon Road, Lake Hopatcong, NJ 07849 within 3 business days. Or you can mail a check to the office postmarked the day of your registration or the next business day so the office receives your payment within 3 business days of registration -- do not mail cash. If full payment is not received in the office within 3 business days of registration, your registration can be cancelled.
