Parents have the option to sign their camper up for optional weekly electives and the sports clinic of the week at the time of camp registration (additional fees apply). View all of the fun electives and sports clinics Camp Jefferson Summer Day Camp offers!

Optional Sports Clinics

Each week there will be a different optional sports clinic to sign your camper up for. Additional fees apply. The various sports include:

SPECIALTY ARTS & CRAFTS-3RD GRADERS & UP ONLY

The camp art teacher will work with the campers on more advanced arts and crafts projects using different materials in different mediums.

TIE DYING

Using rubber bands and various colors of material dyes, campers will each create their own unique tee-shirt.

Chocolate Making

Melt delicious chocolate wafers and pour into molds or stir in special ingredients to make delicious candy treats to take home.

DESSERT Making

Campers will learn how to create simple and delicious dessert dishes in the camp kitchen that they can recreate at home.

International Cooking

KIDS IN THE KITCHEN

Campers will be dabbling in the kitchen making various recipes from appetizers to desserts that are tasty and easy enough for them to do themselves.

GUITAR LESSONS

Learn the basics of the guitar taught by one of the musically inclined counselors. Students will learn notes, the scale, perhaps a simple song, and the fundamentals of guitar playing.

PIANO LESSONS

Campers can learn the basics of the keyboard taught by one of the Camp’s musically inclined counselors. Students will learn notes, the scale, perhaps a simple song and the fundamentals of playing the keyboard.

GYMNASTICS

Campers will tumble and learn simple gymnastic moves working on thick floor pads and specialty tumbling mats.

MARTIAL ARTS

Simple self-defense moves will be taught in this class with the objective of learning basic skills.

Critters & Stuff 8 Inch Animal

Pick an adorable soft and furry animal body and stuff it full of fluff and place a little red heart in his chest and dress him in a little tee-shirt of his own. Campers will even get a birth certificate for their newfound friend.

Critters & Stuff 15 Inch Animal

The same as Critters and Stuff 8-inch animal, just a larger version.

Glitz & Glamour

A favorite among the female campers, counselors will style their hair, polish their nails, and maybe even add a little lipstick to complete the look.
