The Township of Jefferson complies with Federal Transit Law 49 United States Code (USC) Chapter 53, Section 5307 (d)(1)(l) by developing a locally written process for soliciting and considering public comment before raising a fare or carrying out a major service reduction.

A program run by Morris Habitat for Humanity for citizens over 62 years of age to make accessibility, energy efficiency, and home improvements for seniors of Morris County. Their goal is to help seniors live in their own homes longer and maintain their independence.

Friendship at Heart Program
NORWESCAP/Skylands RSVP Volunteer Resource Center’s community outreach program, titled “Friendship at Heart”, is comprised of three free services - Telephone Reassurance, Friendly Visitor, and Senior Cents. For isolated seniors or disabled persons, these programs provide muchneeded friendship and support, as well as the stimulation needed to fight against depression, disorientation, loneliness and many other physical, emotional and mental health problems.

Morris County Project Lifesaver
The Project Lifesaver program has been implemented by the Morris County Sheriff’s Office in an effort to provide enhanced support and assistance to Morris County residents who are primary caregivers for an individual suffering from Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia disorder as well as families of children afflicted with Down syndrome, autism, traumatic brain injuries or cognitive impairments.
