Each year on the Saturday before Mothers’ Day, the Garden Club holds its annual plant sale at the Museum 10-3PM. This tradition began in 2006 and continues each year. Members of the garden club offer local perennials, vegetables and annuals. Many of the plants are from the gardeners’ private gardens and some from the Museum gardens. Garden Club master gardeners and members provide information and assistance to shoppers. Miss Elizabeth’s Shoppe is also open during the plant sale to offer unique Mothers’ Day gifts. Proceeds from the plant sale go to the continued research and development of the Museum gardens known affectionately as Miss Elizabeth’s Gardens.
