Garbage and Recycling upcoming Holiday and Leaf Pickup schedule

Columbus Day, Monday, October 12, is not a trash or recycling holiday. Blue Diamond will be picking up trash and recycling according to a regular Monday schedule. Please have all material to the curb by 6:00 a.m. The Municipal Building Offices and Recycling Office will be closed for Columbus Day. Our Recycling Yard will be open on Saturday, 10/10, from 9 – 2 for your convenience. Fall leaf pick up begins Wednesday, October, 14. Jefferson Township residents may begin to place unlimited bags of leaves, twigs, etc. curbside beginning Wednesday, October 14, for six weeks through Wednesday, November 18. Please place vegetative material in brown lawn and leaf bags, which can be purchased at local grocery stores, hardware stores or any of the big box stores. Vegetative Waste will be picked up on Wednesdays only. Branches should be cut small enough to be placed in the brown leaf bags so that the hauler can safely get the branches from the curb to the truck; otherwise they must be tied at both ends in small bundles. Long tree branches will not be picked up nor will the hauler empty oversized, landscaper barrels. Twigs, tree branches, limbs, shrubs, etc. (less than 3” in diameter and 48” in length) can be brought to the Recycling Yard. We do not accept grass clippings or leaves at the Recycling Yard.
