Message From Emergency Management on Governor Murphy's Executive Order

JeffersonTownship: Today Governor Murphy closed all State and County Parks, as part of the social distancing to stop the spread of COVID-19. Following the Governor’s Executive Order, the Jefferson Township Office of Emergency Management is closing all Township Parks effective at 8:00 PM on Tuesday April 7th, until further notice.

Township playgrounds, basketball, and tennis courts had already been closed. This will now include all Township and School fields, including the High School track and turf field.

The trails at Malon Dickerson, Snow Bowl, Saffins Pond, Prospect Point Preserve, and Liffy Island Trail had been open, but will now be closed. We thank everyone for their anticipated cooperation with these closures, and look forward to the day we can rescind this order.

Stay safe at a distance Jefferson!
