Township COVID-19 Update 4-23-21

COVID 19 Report -Township of Jefferson

Here is the latest COVID 19 report, with only one (1) new case to report since April 20. While having only one new case to report is undoubtedly good news, keep in mind there can be a lag in case reporting from area labs—unfortunately, one (1) new death to report.

Jefferson Township confirmed its twentieth (20th) COVID-19 related fatality. The decedent, a 74-year-old male suffering preexisting chronic conditions, passed away on April 13. Any close contacts have been identified and notified, and are self-quarantining per State protocol.

We ask that you keep the family of the decedent in your thoughts and prayers.

As of 7:00pm on April 23, there have been 2,261 confirmed cases of COVID-19, and 20 COVID-19-related deaths in Jefferson Township. Active cases are recovering and receiving treatment as necessary. Negative test results have been reported for 2,746 individuals.
