The Jefferson Township Museum will be open to the public for tours November 1 1-4PM. The current exhibit follows the history of one of the township’s founding families, the Chamberlains. The Museum is listed on national and state registry as the George Chamberlain house as it was originally the home of George and Elizabeth(Speaker) Chamberlain. Through this exhibit one can follow the history of the family that built and lived in the Museum. Jefferson Historical Society members will be available to welcome and guide visitors through the building. Shop in the original kitchen of the house affectionately named Miss Elizabeth’s Shoppe in honor of the first bride of the home. This is the last chance to shop before it becomes a Christmas shop for Museum Christmas weekend. Autumn decorations make the gardens a perfect spot for family photographs. The Museum welcomes all to visit. Masks are required for entry and on site.
