Notice to Jefferson Township Residents from the Department of Public Works
Please help us serve you better during these winter months by ensuring that all vehicles, boats, and other obstructions such as basketball hoops are removed from the traveled roadway during snow removal operations. This will allow a safe and efficient snow removal and limit the risk of damage your property.
We would like to also remind our residents that street parking is prohibited by township Ordinance #407-7 between the hours of 2am and 6am, from November 1st to April 1st. Street parking is also prohibited when streets are covered with snow and during snow removal operations.
Finally, Ordinance #104a-1 of the township code prohibits the dumping of snow and ice on our roadways.
Note: In the event that you have any snow related issues and/or concerns, you can call the DPW Office directly at 973-208-6141 during normal business hours and during periods of inclement weather and all requests will be handled accordingly.
