JeffersonTownship: You have received RAVE messages from Mayor Wilsusen and Police Chief Conrad, today’s message is from the Office of Emergency Management. It’s our responsibility to send RAVE messages as requested by Township Officials for general information and emergency alerts. As we did in Super Storm Sandy we are attempting to limit our messages, providing updates as conditions evolve. We will continue that practice with the COVID-19 updates as necessary. We would like to explain the notification process when we receive word from the County Health Department of a resident testing positive for the COVID-19 virus. Our Township Health Nurse is advised by the County Health Dept, next our nurse contacts the person and family of the resident that tested positive. The nurse with the help of the resident or family determines who was in recent contact with them and makes notifications to advise them of what steps to take.Currently we have four residents that have tested positive for COVID -19 in Jefferson. For additional information about COVID-19, please go to the Township website http://www.jeffersontownship.net.We would like to take a moment and thank your First Responders the Jefferson Township Police, Milton First Aid Squad, Jefferson Township Rescue Squad, Fire Company #1, and Fire Company #2 for their willingness to put themselves in harms way for you at this time.Stay Safe,Ed MangoldEmergency Management CoordinatorJefferson Township
